Quite enjoying the colder weather, and lots of metro trips. I’m not quite sure why I love city public transport so much.
Took a walk down the Alter Elbtunnel and checked out a few of the boats in the port. Currywurst for lunch, naturally!
I really wanted to check out the Hamburger DOM carnival but it doesn’t open back up for another 2 days, and by then I’ll be in Denmark. Maybe next time.
We went for final drinks last night at Cafe Cinema then Home bar. Bruno joined us and offered to help me out if I decide to move to Berlin!
Luke brought along Julian (New Zealand) & Paul (Canada) to the bar and we had a fun final evening in Berlin ?
Today the guys had very early flights back home, and I’m off on the train to Hamburg for a few days. A very short (< 2 hours) ride and wandering around the city this evening, taking it easy and figuring out the best way to head to Copenhagen 🙂
Linus missed his flight this morning, poor lad haha.
We had a good day with lots of walking: going to the wall and checking out the Jewish museum
Met up with Chris & Alex from Greece and went to a fleamarket/festival/food thing in Mauerpark, and watched the sunset.
Meeting back up with Lucas, Vlada, Luke, Linus and Dave ?
Lots of bars, Stagger Lee was good for cocktails, and then Bruno took us to a cool techno club ://About Blank – no photos or videos allowed there though!
After a great time in Lisbon, I decided to head back home for a week or two to regroup and decide what to do next! If I want to continue travelling, my backpack full of shorts and tank tops isn’t going to be much use in the coming winter.
I’ve got a nice weekend planned with Vlada, Luke and Lukas in Berlin next month to look forward to 🙂
After a great night out dancing, I had a chill morning. Took the metro across the city to find a vape shop and stocked up on some juice. Spent a few hours around town window shopping mostly and checking out the city.
We scooped up Jonathan from Belgium and went for lunch today near the hostel, and I checked into my lovely new room at the same hostel. Mamma’s dinner again tonight ?
Hit the gym this morning ? need to get back into my routine at least a few times a week.
Poor Luke was a bit worse for wear this morning but Vlada and I managed to knock him up in time for us to get the train to Sintra.
We checked out one of the palaces and the Castle Moorish. Taking a tuktuk up the hill was a fun little ride 🙂
Tonight we’re getting another home cooked meal from Mamma in the hostel.
We took some surfing lessons back down the beach, it was difficult but so much fun and the instructor was really cool.
After that we grabbed some local food for lunch and chilled on the beach.
When we got back to the city, we went out to an Argentinian restaurant for dinner then I joined the usual pub crawl, but only for a few.
We were stood in Yes Hostel nearby and the amazing Malli from Sevilla showed up ? it was so exciting!
